Alberto Monteiro de Carvalho e Silva (05/30/1887 - 05/18/1969)

As an engineer and architect, he worked at Companhia Construtora de Santos until 1919, when he founded Monteiro Aranha Engenharia, headquartered in SP and RJ, along with his colleague and friend Olavo Egydio de Souza Aranha. He has taken part in several project-award-winning committees and has been a member of the Society of American Civil Engineers.

Olavo Egydio de Souza Aranha Junior (02/01/1887 - 7/22/1972)

Entrepreneur of vision and entrepreneur by nature, he founded, together with his friend Alberto Monteiro de Carvalho, the Monteiro Aranha Engenharia. In 1950, he settled Volkswagen in Brazil, which, just five years later, was already the largest motor vehicle factory in Latin America.
